Diagnostic imaging procedures of the lower extremity are described in the CPT manual with code range CPT 73502 until CPT 73730. These lower extremity X-ray procedures are used to identify abnormalities such as join swellings, fractures or more.
Hip and pelvis X-rays are covered by CPT codes 73502 until 73525. Knee X-rays are described by CPT 73551 until 73580. CPT codes 73590 until 73660 are for the tibia, fibula, ankle, and foot.
