(2023) List With CPT Codes For Lower Extremities Diagnostic Imaging Procedures

Diagnostic imaging procedures of the lower extremity are described in the CPT manual with code range CPT 73502 until CPT 73730. These lower extremity X-ray procedures are used to identify abnormalities such as join swellings, fractures or more.

Hip and pelvis X-rays are covered by CPT codes 73502 until 73525. Knee X-rays are described by CPT 73551 until 73580. CPT codes 73590 until 73660 are for the tibia, fibula, ankle, and foot. Computed Tomography (CT) can be reported with CPT 73700 to CPT code 73706 and MRI of lower extremities are described by CPT 73718 until 73725.
