As a Patient Accounts Representative - Behavioral Health, you will communicate and coordinate with insurance companies and clients to maximize benefits for clients, supporting multiple clinic locations. Your work supports opening clinics where they are desperately needed.
Duties include managing accounts receivable, investigating denials, submitting corrected claims and appeals, documenting collection activities, monitoring key metrics, maintaining communication with insurance carriers, updating patient information, and escalating issues to leadership.
Candidates should have 3 years of behavioral health out-of-network billing experience, preferably with CollaborateMD EMR and billing software, knowledge of ABA therapy, CPT, and ICD10 codes, and claims denial and appeals experience.
- Associate's degree preferred
- 3 years experience in behavioral health out-of-network billing
- Experience with CollaborateMD EMR and billing software preferred
- Experience with ABA therapy preferred
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes preferred
- Experience handling claims denial and follow up including appeals
