We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Biller with prior experience in outpatient medical office billing and denial management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and passionate with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include managing the entire medical billing cycle such as insurance claims submission, denial management, follow-up and processing of unpaid claims, and payment posting to ensure timely reimbursement. Verify patient insurance information and eligibility prior to service delivery to prevent billing errors. Maintain accurate and organized patient records, billing documents, and financial reports. Oversee authorizations and daily correspondence. Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies or claim denials efficiently. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws like HIPAA, and organizational policies.
Requirements include proven experience in medical billing, coding (preferably with certifications like CPC or CCS), and insurance claim processing; strong understanding of healthcare billing software and electronic health record systems; excellent organizational and multitasking skills; exceptional communication for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and team members; knowledge of healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and billing compliance requirements; and a proactive approach with positive attitude. Prior experience in full Revenue Cycle Management in an outpatient medical office setting is required.
