Certified Coder - Radiation Oncology

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Certified Coder specializing in Radiation Oncology with hybrid/remote work options after training. Collaborate within a patient-focused team at the Central Administration office. Ensure all procedural and diagnostic codes comply with healthcare laws and standards, assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier codes for physician services, and meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks.

Responsibilities include reviewing coding, providing corrections and feedback, and supporting efficient billing practices to maximize reimbursement ethically.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of healthcare Radiation Oncology coding experience; Gamma Knife coding preferred.
  • Current coding certification from AAPC or equivalent.
  • Continuing education compliance every two years.
  • Prior experience with EMR EPIC strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT procedure, ICD-10 coding, A/R management, denials, billing functions.
  • Familiarity with healthcare payment systems (FFS, PPOs, HMOs, capitation) and regional insurers.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, communicate professionally, and commit to patient privacy and safety.

Work schedule is Monday to Friday with flexible hours between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm. Remote work is available post-training.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Two years minimum experience in Radiation Oncology coding
  • Certified Professional Coder (AAPC or equivalent)
  • Continuing education compliance
  • Preferable EPIC EMR experience
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding and billing processes
  • Understanding of healthcare payment models and local insurers
  • Strong independent work ethic and communication skills
  • Commitment to patient privacy and safety
