We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Billing Clerk to perform tasks that will help us monitor and collect our revenues.
Responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal billing and Treatment Authorization Requests
- Knowledge of CIF's and appeal process
- Attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to solve issues
- Charge entry, payment posting
- Oversee and perform collection actions including contacting payors by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims after confirming transmission errors
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed care insurance plans and contract requirements
- Maintain compliance with Medi-Cal, OSHA, HIPAA
- Establish and maintain courteous and professional attitude with managers, co-workers, payors, clients, and patients
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Strong knowledge of HCPCS, Medical Terminology, Managed Care Plans, and Medi-Cal
- Ability to identify incorrect or missing information
- Superior customer service skills
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills
- High level of initiative and ability to make sound decisions independently
- Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills
