The ideal candidate must have 5 years experience working at a private medical office. Duties include billing for provider inpatient and outpatient services, entering charges, obtaining authorizations, and handling referrals. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our practice while providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing medical billing claims using Athena Health software.
- Coding medical procedures and diagnoses accurately to ensure proper reimbursement.
- Scheduling appointments, answering phones, and assisting with front desk operations as needed.
- Communicating effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options.
- Providing excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding in a medical outpatient setting.
- Proficiency in working on an EMR system.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday and rotating weekends.
Work location: In person.
