Responsibilities include managing account payments, communicating with third-party billing vendors to resubmit insurance claims, responding to client, provider, and insurer inquiries, performing collections, and assisting with office administration duties.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years experience in medical billing within a doctor's or hospital office
- Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices, medical insurance, terminology, and basic medical coding
- Strong data entry and communication skills
- Preferred experience in behavioral health office and with TherapyNotes EMR system
Physical ability to perform office tasks and operate equipment is required.
This is a part-time, on-site position limited to local candidates.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in medical billing in a doctor or hospital billing office
- Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices
- Basic understanding of medical coding
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google applications
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain effective working relationships
