Workit Health is hiring a full-time Revenue Cycle Management Specialist to support a telemedicine addiction treatment program. The role focuses on working rejections and denials, identifying trends, and helping resolve claim issues in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
The position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work Monday through Wednesday and remote work Thursday through Friday. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM local time.
The ideal candidate has experience with medical billing, insurance follow-up, eligibility and benefits verification, appeals, and communicating with payers. Experience with addiction medicine, outpatient medication-assisted treatment, or telemedicine billing is preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous medical billing experience
- Experience calling health insurance plans
- Familiarity with medical software, insurance websites, and EHR systems; Elation or Candid preferred
- Ability to verify eligibility and benefits, including coordination of benefits
- Experience resolving claims processing issues and generating appeals or reprocessing claims
- Ability to contact payers for eligibility, claims resolution, and authorization requests
- Experience submitting medical records to insurance when needed
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of customer service and ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency with MS Word and Google Sheets or MS Excel
- CPC or CPB preferred but not required
- Payment posting experience preferred but not required
