Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Medical Biller to join its team. This full-time remote role supports a specialized critical care hospital in New Bedford, MA and is responsible for accurate claim preparation, review, and submission across Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, managed care, and patient balances. The position plays a key role in revenue cycle operations by helping reduce denials, ensure compliance, and support timely reimbursement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle or facility billing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- Hospital billing experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance reimbursement preferred
- Understanding of revenue cycle processes, denial management, and collections workflows
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
- Ability to make independent decisions when needed
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
- Experience with electronic medical records and billing systems preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
