Mountain View Surgery Center of Scottsdale is hiring a full-time Medical Biller for a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center serving pain management, orthopedics, neurosurgery/spine, and total joint procedures.
The role focuses on billing operations after patient transactions have been coded, including creating billing batches, reviewing patient account information, verifying insurance coverage, billing per procedure and contract terms, checking modifiers, applying write-offs according to policy, calculating correct fees, posting billings, printing bills, and sending claims.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of billing experience
- Experience billing in a surgical environment preferred
- Familiarity with patient accounting software, especially AdvantX
- Ability to read and understand insurance explanations of benefits and managed care contracts
- Strong communication skills with proper English grammar
- Proficiency with Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
