Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a full-time Medicare, Medicare Advantage, insurance, and Medicaid Billing Specialist. This role is responsible for timely billing and resolution of accounts receivable activities. The specialist will communicate directly with facilities to obtain necessary documentation and information to bill services appropriately, review eligibility when necessary, and post adjustments.
The position is fully remote.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in skilled nursing medical billing/collections
- Understanding of Medicare, insurance, and Medicaid health plans
- Insurance billing experience preferred; multi-state billing experience is a plus
- Ability to call Medicare, insurance, or Medicaid health plans when required
- Full understanding of the UB-04 form, including revenue codes, value codes, occurrence codes, and type of bill
- Working knowledge of computers, including hardware and software
- Ability to work independently on computer applications with minimal supervision/training
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and government agency compliance requirements
- Positive attitude, initiative, patience, enthusiasm, and problem-solving skills
