Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare client to fill an experienced Medical Biller role within a growing in-house revenue cycle team. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity in Southwest Atlanta with long-term potential. The position supports professional fee and outpatient billing workflows in Epic EMR and contributes to the development of a newly structured billing department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage professional fee and outpatient medical billing from start to finish
- Review, prepare, and transmit insurance claims accurately and on time
- Research and resolve denied or unpaid claims
- Perform account follow-up with insurance carriers and patient accounts
- Enter and review charges for accuracy and compliance
- Communicate professionally with patients about balances and billing questions
- Support additional revenue cycle functions, including payment posting as processes expand
- Work within Epic EMR to navigate billing workflows and account activity
Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Start date is ASAP upon completion of background and drug screening.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- 3+ years of full-cycle medical billing experience
- Experience supporting physician-side and/or outpatient billing operations
- Experience handling claim edits, denials, appeals, and insurance follow-up
- Knowledge of charge entry workflows and reimbursement processes
- Hands-on experience using Epic EMR, with version specified
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Nephrology billing experience required
- Professional demeanor with polished communication skills
