We are hiring for a remote healthcare revenue cycle role focused on billing insurance claims, resolving rejections, and supporting timely claim resolution and payment processing for healthcare clients.

This team uses Meditech Expanse and operates in CST.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims for hospital and physician services to insurance companies in accordance with federal, state, and payer guidelines.
  • Maintain productivity standards while ensuring quality.
  • Review and correct claim edits, errors, and denials to support proper claim submission and payment.
  • Investigate claims, follow up with payers, and work assigned claims.
  • Perform billing adjustments and ensure billing reroutes are handled timely.
  • Complete duties in a professional and timely manner.
  • Help achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided.
  • Adapt easily to change and remain punctual and dependable.
  • Complete payer-specific rules and regulations training.
Requirements & Qualifications

Requirements and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role.
  • Experience with EPIC preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and virtual meeting platforms such as GoToMeeting and Zoom.
  • Strong computer skills, including office and collaboration tools.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure codes and CPT/HCPCS codes.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations related to medical billing practices.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle data analysis and interpretation.
  • Skilled in medical accounts investigation.
  • Skilled in billing software and electronic medical records.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong professional writing and communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and manage time effectively.
  • High attention to detail.
