Heart and Vascular Wellness Center is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join its billing department in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The role focuses on cardiology billing, clean claim submission, denial follow-up, payment posting, and accurate coding support.
Responsibilities include:
- Submit clean claims to payers and follow up on denials or unpaid accounts
- Review CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for accuracy
- Post payments and reconcile EOBs and ERAs
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding balances
- Assist with appeals and documentation support
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial payer guidelines
- Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of billing experience in a specialty clinic preferred
- Knowledge of cardiac coding and EHR systems, with eCW preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
