This temporary medical billing role supports client account setup, claims submission, payment posting, and reimbursement follow-up in a healthcare setting. The position is 100% onsite in Lake Mary, FL for a 7-month duration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring processing of client information complies with HIPAA, PHI regulations, and related policies
- Coordinating insurance verification and explaining patient co-pay responsibility
- Collecting co-pays and, when needed, payment information for account processing
- Entering client information accurately and obtaining missing details from referral sources, customers, or clients
- Confirming sales orders and verifying required documents before claim submission
- Submitting electronic and paper claims to payers in a timely manner
- Correcting and resubmitting rejected claims
- Posting cash accurately to the correct accounts
- Following up on outstanding payments and collections
- Generating invoices and resolving billing questions
- Using current regulatory and reimbursement guidance to support billing accuracy
- Providing customer service support by processing, resolving, and logging inquiries
