University Physicians' Association is seeking a full-time Medical Billing/Coding Representative for University Cancer Specialists in Alcoa, TN.
This role supports billing, coding, claims, and revenue cycle processes in a medical office setting. The position works Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm and includes handling coding verification, charge posting, claim review, and denial resolution.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required Education
- High school education or equivalent required
- Medical billing courses or college preferred
Required Experience and Skills
- Medical billing office experience preferred
- Knowledge of computer programs
- Ability to operate computers and basic office equipment
- Knowledge of basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures and practices
- Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and stand in a normal office environment
- Manual dexterity for using a calculator and computer keyboard
