The Medical Billing Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of accounts, owning the client relationship and providing both tactical and strategic oversight. This role works closely with internal operations teams to resolve issues, monitor account performance metrics, and communicate results to clients. The position is in person in Omaha, Nebraska.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the medical billing industry, preferably in a relationship management or client services role
- Strong understanding of medical billing, including claims processing, clinic practice management, and insurance claims filing and reimbursement practices
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Experience with NextGen or Waystar preferred
- Familiarity with claim forms and explanation of benefits forms
- Knowledge of various insurance plans and billing requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with data manipulation and management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, team-building, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly with team members and clients
