1.0 FTE day shift role focused on insurance claims, patient accounts, and revenue cycle support. This is a remote position, but work must be performed from within the State of Minnesota.
Responsibilities include reviewing claims prior to submission, monitoring claim status, resolving denials, posting insurance payments and adjustments, investigating credit balances, responding to billing inquiries, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting workflow improvements, and helping meet accounts receivable goals.
• College certificate, associate degree, or equivalent related experience required • Experience in medical billing, patient accounts, or healthcare revenue cycle operations preferred • Knowledge of insurance payers, billing processes, claim submission, and reimbursement workflows • Experience with claim follow-up, denial management, and appeals preferred • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with computers and ability to learn billing systems and payer portals • Effective communication skills for working with insurance companies, internal teams, and patients • Strong math skills and basic understanding of the revenue cycle • Understanding of Provider Based Billing (PBB) preferred • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and in a team environment
