Bayhealth Medical Center is seeking a medical billing and coding professional to support the end-to-end billing process. This role is responsible for preparing encounters for submission, abstracting clinical information from medical records, assigning appropriate DX and CPT-4 codes, correcting errors and denials, and maintaining accounts receivable goals.
The position is located at Kent Campus Hospital, works full-time hours on day shift, and supports the organization’s revenue cycle goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Three years of professional medical coding experience required
- Three years of experience with full medical coding functions preferred
