LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion is seeking a Billing Specialist to join its team. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and transmitting facility and professional claims, following up on unpaid claims, resolving denials, and supporting reimbursement processes within billing deadlines.
The position requires close coordination with patients, providers, insurance payers, and the Patient Accounting Leader to resolve billing issues, reimbursement obstacles, and claim-related questions.

Qualifications
- Associate degree required
- 1 to 3 years of experience in medical or hospital billing preferred
- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal oversight and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of financial record keeping and medical billing procedures
- Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office, and 10-key calculators
