We are recruiting for an exciting career opportunity as a Medical Biller to join the team as a Billing Specialist at the corporate office in Fresno, CA.
This role supports the organization in obtaining payment from appropriate parties and helps ensure billing and coding are accurate, timely, and fraud-free.
The Billing Specialist works closely with the Medical Billing Manager and other team members to process claims, communicate with patients and providers, and maintain accurate billing records.
• High School diploma or GED • Certified Professional Coder preferred but not required • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred • Knowledge of medical and dental billing and collections practices • Bilingual preferred but not required • Strong computer skills and proficiency with modern office practices and email • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work well with patients and providers from diverse backgrounds
