Argo IQ Billing Services is seeking an experienced physical therapy medical biller to manage the full billing cycle for a Florida-based outpatient physical therapy clinic.
This is a remote, US-based 1099 contractor role with a recurring part-time workload of about 10–15 hours per week. The position involves end-to-end billing support, including claims submission, payment posting, denial follow-up, accounts receivable management, and reporting.
The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, communicating directly with payers and clinic leadership, and maintaining accurate billing workflows across WebPT and Therabill.
Requirements & Qualifications
Core experience
- 3+ years of outpatient physical therapy or rehabilitation billing experience
- Hands-on proficiency with WebPT and/or Therabill
- Strong working knowledge of Florida payer plans, including BCBS Florida, Florida Blue Medicare, Florida Medicaid managed care, Medicare Part B, Tricare East, and PIP/workers' compensation
Skills and knowledge
- Strong command of CPT therapy codes
- Familiarity with the Medicare 8-minute rule
- Knowledge of KX modifier rules and functional limitation reporting
- Experience handling denials, appeals, AR follow-up, and payer phone calls
- Ability to verify eligibility and benefits and track authorizations
Work expectations
- US-based and available during business hours for payer calls
- Willing to sign a BAA
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable communication and timely reporting
