Performance Ortho is seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Receivable (A/R) Billing Specialist to join its corporate team in Bridgewater, NJ. The role supports a fast-paced, multi-specialty orthopedic and outpatient care organization and focuses on claim correction, follow-up, appeals, and reimbursement support across multiple payer types.
The position is hybrid, with two remote days per week and three onsite days per week. It is a full-time weekday role with no weekends.
- 1–3 years of A/R billing experience, preferably in physical therapy, orthopedics, chiropractic, or rehabilitation settings.
- Strong knowledge of insurance processes, ICD-10 coding, and HCPC codes.
- Experience with claims processing, claim follow-up, and appeals through payer portals or paper submission.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and practice management queues; ECW experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping or general accounting principles is a plus.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with touch typing and 10-key data entry.
