BayMark Health Services is seeking an organized, analytical, and detail-oriented billing specialist to manage billing processes and claims submissions. The role also includes reporting patient authorization expirations, maintaining adjustment spreadsheets, and managing assigned accounts.
This position supports a progressive substance abuse treatment organization focused on high-quality patient care in outpatient and inpatient clinic settings.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous physician office or hospital billing experience required; 5 years preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Texas Medicaid, Medi-Cal, managed care, and commercial plans
- Experience with medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, CPT codes, UB-04, and 1500 claim forms
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to self-manage workload, partner with co-workers, and multitask
- Compliance with billing-related HIPAA policies and internal procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
