Carolinas Endoscopy, located in Greenville's Medical District, is seeking a full-time Insurance Verifier for its professional, patient-centric practice and ambulatory surgery center.
This role is responsible for validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system. The position may also involve communicating with physician offices, insurance carriers, following up with patients, and providing registration coverage.
The Insurance Verifier works under the direction of the Business Office Manager and collaborates with the Administrator and clinical leadership team to support the facility's mission, vision, and goals while contributing to excellent patient care.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance verification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with patients by phone and in person
- Medical terminology experience preferred
- Ability to operate office equipment required for the job
- Familiarity with patient accounting software
- Knowledge of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- Ability to read and understand insurance explanations of benefits and managed care contracts
