Join a dynamic and growing healthcare company as an AR Billing/Collections Representative. This role supports the financial health of the organization by handling claims, denials, appeals, and customer/payer follow-up.
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and on-site. Local candidates are preferred.
Key responsibilities include submitting accurate claims to payers, researching and resolving denied or unpaid claims, preparing appeals within filing limits, analyzing denial trends, working preventable denials, resolving exception reports, documenting account activity, updating billing records, responding to customer and payer inquiries, and communicating process gaps and improvement opportunities to leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or collections
- Knowledge of payer guidelines, denial management, and appeals processes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and billing systems
Preferred experience
- Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer experience
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Experience in DME or healthcare revenue cycle operations
- Experience identifying trends and contributing to process improvements
