Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a Medical Biller Specialist to join its team.
The role supports insurance management and billing for multiple payer types, including Medicare, managed care, workers’ compensation, commercial, and government plans. Responsibilities include claim scrubbing, claim submission, follow-up with payers, resolving claim rejections, maintaining client record confidentiality, front desk patient flow support, scheduling and check-in, and handling patient collections.
The position requires strong productivity, professionalism, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
Qualifications
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Self-motivated team player who takes initiative and supports office needs beyond primary duties
- Familiarity with computer systems, spreadsheets, and word processing tools
- Experience with Excel and Google Docs
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while managing pressure, stress, and change
- Proven experience as high-level medical office staff with strong analytical skills
Preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced physical therapy office environment
- Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes for physical therapy
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes for physical therapy
