Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or collections
Experience with accounts receivable and patient accounts
Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems
Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service skills, including phone and in-person interaction
Proficiency in typing and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to stay organized, work under deadlines, multitask, and exercise sound judgment
