Medical Billing Specialist

ApexNetwork Physical Therapy is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to support the billing cycle across all of its locations. This role is based in Highland, Illinois and focuses on patient-centered billing operations within a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work individually and as part of a team to manage the billing cycle for all locations
• Handle account auditing, payment posting, accounts receivable, and patient billing
• Answer patient questions and provide benefit reviews
• Perform electronic and paper billing
• Handle phone calls professionally and courteously
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems and achieve team goals
• Learn Apex protocols and become proficient with internal software systems
