Acentra Health is seeking a Resolution and Adjustment Specialist to conduct bill-specific research and adjudicate claims accurately and promptly in accordance with OWCP policies.
This role involves reviewing suspended claims, resolving medical bill data issues, processing paper and electronic bills for adjustment, and performing manual claim reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy.
The position requires hybrid work with on-site reporting in Tallahassee, FL one week per month.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience researching and resolving medical billing issues
- Knowledge of medical terminology, including diagnosis and procedure codes
- Familiarity with medical billing and claim forms, plus common coding schemes; certification preferred
- Ability to navigate multiple claims systems and software platforms simultaneously
- Strong computer skills in MS Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
