ConnectMed360 is seeking a Medical Benefits/Billing Verification Specialist for its Patient Services office in Louisville, KY. This full-time, Monday through Friday role supports patients, providers, and specialty medication access programs focused on cancer and rare diseases.
The position is responsible for verifying medical benefits, confirming payor information, supporting reimbursement workflows, and helping educate provider offices and patients on coverage and claims-related issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree, technical school program, or certificate in pharmacy or healthcare preferred
- 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience required
- 2+ years of billing and coding experience preferred
- 6+ months of customer service experience preferred
- Experience with payer benefits, reimbursement, prior authorization, or related healthcare work strongly preferred
- Billing and coding knowledge required
- Knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and commercial insurance reimbursement
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Registration/certification with the Board of Pharmacy as required by law
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) preferred
