Responsible for supporting the billing and cash posting teams by answering patient insurance questions, assisting with front-end claim scrubbing, documenting patient account information from insurers, assisting with cash posting, and supporting all functions within the billing and cash-posting teams.
This is a potential hybrid-remote position with up to 90 days of in-office training. After training, the role may be eligible for a hybrid schedule with 2-3 in-office days per week. The company is a professional services organization providing consulting and revenue cycle management services to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in billing and/or cash posting
- FQHC billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, electronic billing, and HIPAA
- EHR experience required; experience with NextGen, eClinicalWorks, and/or Epic preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Reliable internet connection for remote work portion, with minimum 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload
- Dedicated workspace with a door
- Must live within 1-2 hours of the main office location for occasional on-site meetings
