Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting claims to payers, maintaining billing documentation, following up on unpaid and denied claims, and reconciling accounts while following billing regulations and coding guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience billing Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs)
- Experience interpreting explanation of benefits (EOBs)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependability
- Proficiency with EHR systems or strong technical aptitude
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation for work-related travel
