This role supports billing and revenue cycle operations for assigned payers, including charge review, billing, denial management, appeals, payment posting, accounts receivable management, and contract review as applicable. The position also performs general administrative duties such as answering phones, preparing correspondence, filing, copying, shredding, and processing items.
This is a hybrid role with onsite and remote work.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in billing and revenue cycle activities
- At least 1 year of experience using a practice management system; NextGen preferred
- Medical billing certification or equivalent experience
Required Skills
- Familiarity with practice management and electronic medical records systems; NextGen preferred
- Strong typing and data entry skills, minimum 35 WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to handle high-volume numerical detail work with speed and accuracy
- Ability to operate a 10-key calculator quickly and accurately
