Valeris is a life sciences commercialization partner focused on improving patient access to critical medications and supporting healthcare provider engagement. This role supports reimbursement, coverage, and billing assistance for providers and patients across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with determining coverage and access options for specific medications or procedures
- Research payer coverage policies and claim submission processes at the local, regional, and national level
- Communicate reimbursement, billing, and financial responsibility information clearly to providers, office staff, and patients
- Educate provider offices on payer policies, coding changes, and claims submission processes
- Support offices with pre-determinations, appeals, peer-to-peer reviews, and denied or underpaid claims
- Help patients and providers understand copay, coinsurance, deductible, and other financial assistance options
- Serve as a patient advocate and single point of contact for callers
- Follow SOPs, complete required training on time, and complete assigned projects
Requirements & Qualifications
Preferred qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of billing and coding experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in arts and sciences, social work, public health administration, or a related field preferred
- Billing and coding diploma or certificate strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology preferred
- Experience working with physician practices or outpatient clinics billing commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus

- Basic computer knowledge and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to communicate complex coverage and reimbursement information clearly
