Crossroads Treatment Centers is hiring a Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist to support medical billing and revenue cycle operations for its outpatient opioid use disorder treatment clinics.
This role focuses on resolving new and aged accounts receivable, analyzing claims and payment issues, communicating with payers, identifying denial trends, and supporting reimbursement resolution across professional, governmental, and commercial claims.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of accounts receivable experience in a physician office setting
- General knowledge of HCPCS, CPT-4, and ICD-10 coding and/or medical terminology
- Familiarity with multiple payer requirements and claims processing regulations
- High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Resolve new and aged accounts receivable across multiple claim types
- Review claims data and supporting documentation for coding and billing concerns
- Interpret payer contracts, claim edits, and rejections
- Prepare appeal letters and track appeal resolution for technical denials
- Research payment discrepancies, misapplied payments, and insurance credit balances
- Identify denial trends and support team leads with A/R analysis
