We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing revenue cycle management team supporting the financial health of the organization.
This role reports to the Director of Accounts Receivable and works with internal teams to identify, quantify, and resolve outstanding payer issues, trends, and overdue receivables. The position focuses on medical claims follow-up, denial resolution, appeals support, and reimbursement tracking.
The role is based in Austin, TX on-site, with remote work considered for qualified applicants outside the Austin area.
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2+ years of experience managing medical receivables or 3+ years working in medical specialties with third-party billing/revenue cycle management experience.
Strong knowledge of medical and insurance terminology and guidelines.
Experience with in-network and out-of-network reimbursement processes.
Ability to investigate claims denials, determine when reconsiderations or appeals are appropriate, and resolve outstanding payer issues.
Strong analytical, mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Excel for formulas and ad hoc reporting.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a remote work environment.
Preferred experience with CentralReach practice management system and Applied Behavioral Analysis.
