Join a thriving pediatric orthopaedic group as a billing specialist supporting revenue cycle operations. This role is focused on accurate claim submission, payment collection, denial resolution, appeals, and account reconciliation to help bring patient balances to zero.
You will analyze rejected claims, make appropriate adjustments, manage secondary insurance and patient responsibility, and work closely with insurance verification, front desk, charge entry, and providers to resolve billing issues and improve claim accuracy.
The position is on-site in the St. Petersburg or Tampa office. Standard department hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and new hires complete a 90-day training period.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical revenue cycle
- Proven experience with AR follow-up, EDI management, coding, medical terminology, and computer skills
- CPC or CPB certification, or willingness to obtain within 2 years with employer-paid support
Preferred Experience
- Insurance verification experience
- Pediatric and orthopaedic billing experience
- Familiarity with AthenaPractice, Encoda, or Phreesia
- Knowledge of Florida Medicaid
