Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to support resolution of new and aged accounts receivable for a physician office setting. This role focuses on managing professional, governmental, and non-governmental claims, denials, reimbursements, credits, and other patient accounting issues while maintaining strong quality and productivity standards.
The position involves working with payer portals, email, phone, and other resources to resolve account discrepancies, interpret claim edits and payer contract variances, and prepare appeal letters for technical denials. The specialist will also help identify denial trends and support team members and team leads with A/R and denials analysis.
- At least 2 years of accounts receivable experience in a physician office setting
- General knowledge of HCPCS, CPT-4, and ICD-10 coding and/or medical terminology
- Familiarity with multiple payer requirements and claims processing regulations
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to interpret payer contracts, claim scrubber edits, and billing guidelines
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
