Support timely and accurate workers' compensation claim resolution in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment. This remote role focuses on claim follow-up, denial research, appeals, corrected claims, and communication with employers, adjusters, and WC payers to secure prompt reimbursement.
You will maintain account receivable aging targets, ensure compliance with state workers' compensation regulations and payer policies, and collaborate with clinical and billing teams to obtain medical records, authorizations, and supporting documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of workers' compensation billing and AR follow-up experience
- Experience working with third-party WC administrators and state-specific WC portals
- Familiarity with CMS-1500, UB-04 (if applicable), and WC-specific billing forms
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and modifier usage related to WC claims
- Prior experience in hospital or multispecialty group revenue cycle operations
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
