The Payment Posting Specialist is primarily responsible for posting patient and third-party payments and contractual adjustments. The role also involves researching patient accounts in Epic and working with payment, allowance, write-off, and EDI (835) transactions.
You will help ensure accurate and efficient revenue reporting while contributing to a professional, team-oriented business office environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of business office experience
- 1+ years of experience with coordination of benefits and EOB/RA interpretation
- Proven basic CPT and ICD-9 coding knowledge
- Prior payment posting experience
- Strong organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Preferred: certified medical business office training
- Preferred: 3+ years of business office experience
- Preferred: experience with Epic patient accounting systems and EDI (835) transmissions
