Bayview Physicians Group is seeking a Certified Professional Coder (CPC or CPC-A) to join its Medical Billing team in Chesapeake, VA. This is a full-time opportunity with remote and hybrid possibilities available. The role supports a large, multi-specialty outpatient medical group serving the Hampton Roads community.
The coder will review documentation, assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes, and help resolve denied claims across multiple specialties. Bayview offers training, specialty exposure, and career growth for both experienced coders and apprentices.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Coder – Apprentice (CPC-A) credential required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
- Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow
- General knowledge of standard office equipment and computer systems
- Prior medical office experience preferred
