100% remote opportunity for an outpatient coder supporting Sinai Hospital and other LifeBridge Health facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Code and abstract medical records for facility outpatient records.
- Assist with coding and leveling ER cases as needed.
- Assist with coding and charging infusion cases as needed.
- Review medical records to identify provider diagnoses and procedures for outpatient encounters.
- Assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, or CPT codes as appropriate.
- Abstract predetermined information from ER and outpatient records into the medical record abstract.

Requirements & Qualifications
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent formal working knowledge in a specialized field.
- 1 to 3 years of coding experience.
- Required certifications: CCS, CPC-H, CO, RHIT, or RHIA.
