This role is responsible for analyzing allocation worksheets, applying appropriate medical coding standards, and entering procedure codes, prescription drug codes, and pricing into the case management system.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding knowledge, plus working knowledge of NDC codes
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Workers' compensation or liability experience working with multiple jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of the Medicare system, remittance, and reimbursement policies
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Strong mathematics skills
- Strong Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coding and billing orthopedic and pain management procedures and surgeries
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or Certified Professional Biller (CPB)
