Performs outpatient/professional medical coding and validation for a wide variety of clinics and services, ensuring accurate CPT/HCPCS assignment, modifiers, and E/M leveling in accordance with VA, CMS, AMA, and AHA standards.
Location/Hours: Remote (VPN access), Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm CT

Requirements & Qualifications
Required certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, and/or CPC, maintained throughout the contract
Experience: 3+ years of continuous coding experience in a comparable or larger facility
Technical knowledge: Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding
Other requirements:
- U.S. citizen
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Familiarity with VA tools/systems preferred, including VistA/CPRS and VIRR
