Our coding team is growing. This part-time remote coder will code clinic and physical therapy claims and support billing research and denials for claims coded. The role communicates with coding staff, providers, and leadership regarding coding questions and claim decisions. After on-site training, the position works from home within the state of Iowa with flexible hours.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required experience and skills
- Clinical coding experience with physical therapy or claims coding
- Ability to use coding knowledge to create accurate codes based on medical dictation and clinical documentation
- Ability to review claims and make necessary adjustments before closing a case
- Calm, professional communication with providers and peers
- Curiosity and strong listening skills
- Ability to work independently and know when to ask for help

- Remote work is limited to candidates residing in Iowa
- On-site training is required before transitioning to remote work
