This role is for a detail-oriented medical coder specializing in professional services, with emphasis on Evaluation and Management (E&M) and tangential services. Wound care knowledge is a plus. The position is remote and supports accurate coding, compliance, and documentation review for healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential or equivalent certification required, such as CCS-P or COC.
- Proven experience in professional services coding, especially Evaluation and Management coding across multiple medical specialties.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with providers, auditors, and internal teams.
