Join Regions Hospital as a Health Information Coding Analyst II focused on outpatient same day surgery coding. This role supports multiple sites and works within a team handling complex coding scenarios to ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
What you will do
- Complete coding analysis for each individual patient stay
- Provide accurate diagnoses, procedures, and related database information to support financial reimbursement and statistical reporting
- Perform related duties as assigned
Work schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Remote, Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling
- Candidates must live in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota
Required qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in health information, completion of a coding specialist program, or successful completion of an AHIMA or AAPC coding credential exam
- 3 to 5 years of experience in ICD-10/CPT coding
- One of the following credentials: CCA, CIC, COC, CCS, CPC, HCS, CEDC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
Preferred qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in health information or completion of a coding specialist program
- 5+ years of experience in ICD-10/CPT coding
- Same day surgery coding experience preferred
