The Health Information Management Department provides timely access to health information for continuity of patient care and authorized requests. In this role, you will code and abstract facility outpatient records, including ER, infusion, and other outpatient encounters.
Key duties include reviewing medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures and assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes in accordance with established conventions and guidelines.
Associate's degree or equivalent formal working knowledge in a specialized field.
1-3 years of coding experience.
Required certifications: CCS, CPC-H, CO, RHIT, or RHIA.
