Revenue Specialist, VA

The company focuses on improving reimbursement outcomes across complex claims types, including Veterans Administration, Workers’ Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, and Out-of-State Medicaid.

The Revenue Specialist – VA serves as a liaison between client contacts and the VA. This role is responsible for handling protected health information (PHI) with a high level of privacy and security. Core duties include analyzing VA claim payments, gathering medical records and supporting documentation, submitting hospital claims and appeal packets, and following up with payers to ensure timely reimbursement.

Requirements & Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-4+ years of experience in healthcare billing or collections
  • 2+ years of client-facing or customer service experience
  • 1+ years of VA billing and collections experience required; complex claims experience is a plus
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and related data requirements
  • Intermediate understanding of government and veteran benefit programs
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Must maintain regular and predictable attendance
